Hanezu Ordori at Zuishin-in. Kyoto, Japan. Plum blossoms at this temple were given the special name of hanezu (red blossom) by ancient Japanese, and the Hanezu Odori performed here by the local children in kimono is peculiar to the district. It is danced to a comical nursery rhyme (warabe uta) about the love life of Ono no Komachi, the court poet popular among nobles for her beauty and intelligence.
